  • Pork shoulder: 500 grams

Instructions

Cut the pork shoulder into cubes and brown in a large pot with vegetable oil. Slice the kielbasa and bacon, then add to the pot, cooking until lightly browned. Add chopped onions and cook until soft. Rinse the sauerkraut and chop the fresh cabbage, then add both to the pot along with the dried mushrooms, prunes, bay leaves, allspice, juniper berries, caraway seeds, and paprika. Stir in the tomato paste and red wine. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally. The longer it cooks, the better the flavors will meld. Serve hot.
